New Construction Inspections
Due to the recent housing boom, the quality of new construction has declined significantly. Factors such as tight production schedules, overworked project managers, poorly trained sub-trade employees, and overburdened municipal inspectors contribute to this trend. Passing municipal code inspections does not guarantee top-quality construction or materials, as these inspections only ensure code compliance, making it important to have a professional home inspector conduct inspection services.
Pre-Listing/Seller’s Inspections
A pre-listing inspection will help home sellers identify defects in their home and allow for corrections prior to a buyer’s home inspector identifying the same defects. This will allow for the home owner to make repairs on their terms and help prevent any delays in the sale process.
New Construction Phase Inspections
We offer multi-phase inspections throughout the entire construction process to help reduce the possibility of hidden defects that can become costly repairs within a short period of time after the completion of the home. As a private inspector, we have the technical expertise, code knowledge, certifications, experience, and, most importantly, the time to conduct detailed inspections of your home throughout the construction process. We can custom design an inspection program to your specifications to help ensure that your new home or building is well built.

11th Month/Builder’s Warranty
An 11th Month/Builder’s Warranty inspection will assist homeowners in identifying defects that are covered by a builder’s warranty. This inspection is recommended prior to the expiration date of your warranty.
Home Maintenance Inspections
A home maintenance inspection helps identify potential issues before they become costly repairs, ensuring your home remains safe and in good condition. Regular inspections can extend the lifespan of your home’s systems and save you money in the long run helping you protect your investment.
Commercial Property Inspections
We offer a wide range of commercial inspections. We use the ASTM E-2018-01 Standard Guide for Property Condition Assessments as a base template and customize it according to the client’s needs.
These services are tailored toward small to medium sized industrial, multi-family and other commercial type properties. Having been a Building Code Inspector for multiple jurisdictions over the years makes us uniquely qualified to perform commercial property inspections for our clients.
4 Point Inspections
This inspection is required by an increasing number of insurance companies before they will write a new policy on older homes. We inspect the roof, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems of the home. A written report with photo documentation is prepared and sent to the client via email. This allows the client to forward on the report to 3rd party insurance companies with ease.
Bank Draw Inspections
A service provided to lending institutions that inspects the progress of the construction project prior to releasing funds to the builder. This service is available for both commercial and residential projects.
Wind Mitigation
This is an evaluation of the homes ability to withstand high wind events such as hurricanes. The inspection utilizes a standardized form from the insurance industry. Most homes, even older homes, have some items incorporated into the construction of the home that will qualify for rate reductions from the insurance company. Our experience with these inspections has shown that the cost of the inspection is usually less than the amount of savings that can be obtained from the insurance provider on the insurance premiums. These inspections can only be performed by a licensed building contractor or a code certified building inspector.
